Jack and Jill magazine and everyone at U.S. Kids would like to send a big CONGRATULATIONS! to Kavya Shivashankar, this year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee winner. Kavya won the Jack and Jill National Spelling Bee in 2005 and attended the 2005 Scripps National Spelling Bee as a reporter for Jack and Jill. Kavya has participated in four national finals, including this year, when she spelled the word “laodicean” for the win. Way to go Kavya!
