About the Scholarship Games
The Tulip Time Scholarship Games is an annual event held in April since 1990 at the Fitness Farm, 2345 West 44th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. The Fitness Farm is operated by the Children's Better Health Institute, a division of the Benjamin Franklin Literary & Medical Society, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The Children's Better Health Institute Mission Statement
"We are looking for future scientists, doctors, medical researchers, and fitness innovators who will help discover cures for cancer, AIDS, and all the other unsolved diseases on our planet. We do this by promoting scholarship incentives to the most serious scholars and hardest-working athletes among the readers of our children's health and fitness magazines. Throughout each issue of our cheerful magazines, our young readers' curiosities are being stimulated with peeks into the adult world of serious scientific exploration and conquest, in addition to the fun and games."
Cory SerVaas, M.D.
President, Children's Better Health Institute

Fitness Farm Facilities
The Fitness Farm has wonderful facilities that can accommodate small or large groups. The main feature is a swimming pool that features a bubble that allows swimming in rain or shine at a cozy temperature all year round. The outdoor athletic facilities include a tennis court, basketball court, 200 meter asphalt track, soccer fields with goals, horse shoe pitching pits, golf putting green, and wide-open grassy areas with trees on the perimeter. Hickory trees grafted on pecan stalks make the hickory grove an attractive and restful retreat.
Scholarship Hall
In addition, the Fitness Farm has the Scholarship Hall which can be used for indoor gatherings during inclement weather. The Scholarship Hall also has restrooms for the visitors. Several schools, churches, and home-schooled students currently use the facilities. The use of the Scholarship Hall facilities can also be reserved by calling Dave Nakarado at (317) 634-1100.
