"It's snowing!" cried Mindy.
"It snowed in the night
On the streets and the houses—
The whole world is white!"
She pulled on her snowsuit,
Her mittens and cap,
Her boots and her warmest
Cold-weather wrap.
She ran out the door,
Catching snow on her nose,
Her lashes and tongue,
In the folds of her clothes.
She tumbled in snowdrifts
And tried out her sled,
Clumped the first tracks
From her house to the shed.
Oh, isn't it glorious!
What a delight!
To wake up and find
That it snowed in the night!
