Try this fun and easy way to make mini-pizzas. Ask an adult to help you.
You Will Need:
• 2 baking sheets
• Large can reduced-fat buttermilk biscuits (makes 8)
• 1 jar lowfat pizza (or pasta) sauce
• 1 pound of turkey sausage, browned and crumbled
• 8-ounce package reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
• Parmesan cheese
• 1 package pepperoni
Directions:
1. Wash hands. Preheat oven to 375° F.
2. Remove biscuits from can. Place four biscuits on each baking sheet. (Leave room to flatten them.)
3. Use your hands to flatten the biscuits. They should be five or six inches across.
4. To each pizza, add sauce, sausage, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and pepperoni slices.
5. Bake the pizzas for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown; then serve.
